Sadness at passing of Elizabeth Anne Wylie

The death took place in the Buncrana Nursing Unit after a very short illness of Mrs Elizabeth Anna Wylie, Sappagh Muff

Elizabeth who was in her 89th year was predeceased by her husband Albert 43 years ago and her daughter Murial almost 3 years ago. She was the last surviving member of the Foster family having also been predeceased by her three brothers John, Tom, and Andy. She is survived by her daughter Irene to whom deepest sympathy is extended.The funeral service which took place in Knowhead Presbyterian Church was conducted by the Rev.Hanna, the organist was Campbell Rankin. After the Service refreshments were served in Knowhead Hall by the local ladies from Knowhead. Elizabeth was a very popular lady in the area and though being of a very quiet and reserved nature she loved having visitors in her home,she will be sadly missed by all herfriends in the area. Burial took place in the Church of Ireland cemetery, Muff. May she rest in peace.

Quigley’s Point Community Centre are holding the annual AGM on Wednesday 25th July at 8.00pm. Everyone welcome.

Tuesday/Thursday Clubs - Next meeting will take place on Thursday 26th July at 8.00pm. The group is hoping to extend the range of the leisure activities for people in the Muff area who have time on their hands. Please come along and get involved in the programme planning. All welcome.
