Derry primary schools are being asked to get creative this Lent and enter the agency’s national competition to design next year’s Trocaire box.
The competition has been launched as part of this year’s Lenten campaign in recognition of the support given by teachers, pupils and their families to the communities it helps each year.
The Trocaire box competition is open to all Derry primary schools.
Classes can create an image, a slogan, a poem or a reflection. Closing date for entries is Friday April 27. Further details can be found on www.trocaire.org/education.
To find out more about Trocaire’s 2012 Lenten campaign or receive a 2012 Trocaire box, visit www.trocaire.org, call 0800 912 1200 or drop into a local parish.
This Lent, all donations to Trócaire in Northern Ireland, up to £900,000, will be matched by the British Government pound for pound.
