A 29-year-old Limavady charged with assaulting two males at a birthday party will be sentenced at the end of the month.
Joel Robert Connor, with an address at Roeview Park in the town, appeared at Limavady Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday charged with two counts of assault on a male. Both charges relate to May 25.
The court heard one of the injured parties said he was punched by Connor and suffered swelling and a cut to his right eye. A second male said he had been assaulted by Connor who pushed him against the arm rest of a sofa causing bruising.
Defence for Connor said his client was a man who had not shown a cycle or propensity for violence in the past.
District Judge Liam McNally adjourned sentencing until December 31.
