The Nerve Centre on Derry’s Magazine Street is famous for its live music - over the years locals have enjoyed performances from Enter Shikari, Pete Doherty, Bombay Bicycle Club, Pierce the Veil and most recently, Kasabian.
The Nerve Centre has begun a new programme called “Set The Stage” to teach young people how to set up, book and perform at your own gig.
The programme ran from early November and ends this Friday (December 19) in a climactic gig in the Nerve Centre itself. The music on the night will be divided between two stages, acoustic and band. Both stages feature the best new local talent including Arctic Crescent, Cahal O’Connell, Jason Flynn, Rebecca Mulhern, Shoot the Messenger and Riot Upstairs.
Headlining the band stage are the local metal heads, Making Monsters. This is their last date this year and with their latest EP, “Attention” out earlier in the year this makes them a fantastic headline act not to be missed. Doors open 7pm.
Tickets for the show on Friday, December 19, are on sale from The Nerve Centre Box Office for £4 or are available on the door for £6.
