A Sharing Fair is taking place in St. Mary’s Community Hall this Sunday, October 14th.
Due to a misunderstanding the fair was advertised as taking place tomorrow night as well as Sunday, but it will only be held on Sunday from 9am until 1.30pm.
The Sharing Fair is an international effort carried out by the Good Shepherd Sisters around the world, and it’s run locally by Donegal-born nun, Sister Kay Connolly.
The crafts on sale will include many Christmas gifts so come along and start your Christmas shopping while at the same time helping to better the lives of woman in developing countries.
The Sharing Fair gives local people a chance to purchase these items which are made by women and girls in developing countries. All proceeds are then returned to the women in the form of new orders providing them with hope, dignity and sustainability. So come along on Sunday, you’ll see something you’ll want to buy.
