A Buncrana native, Danielle was a student of Scoil Mhuire in Buncrana and then studied at Liverpool’s John Moores University before opting to travel the world.
Family and friends have been working alongside the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust and also both the British and Irish Consulates, as Danielle was an Irish citizen but held a British passport.
Danielle’s body will be released today, bound for Dublin, and it is understood staff from the Irish Consulate will accompany Danielle’s friends on her journey from Goa, home to Buncrana. Speaking to the ‘Journal,’ Buncrana Parish Priest Fr Francis Bradley said there was a terrible sense of loss and shock in the Parish.
