So who has the Drive Factor?

The third annual Drive Factor organised by Drive 105.3fm, in association with the Taxi Co. and media partners the Derry Journal will take place tomorrow evening at the Millennium Forum.

The twelve finalists chosen by public vote after four heats will perform for the £3,000 cash prize in the following order as drawn at Monday’s nights results show on Drive 105.3fm

08 Conor McGinty, aged 18 years from Carrigans, and at the heats Conor sang: ‘Cannonball’, ‘Against The Odds’, ‘Tears in Heaven’ and ‘The Island’

03 Caomhan McFadden aged 16 years from Iona Park and at the heats Caomhan sang: ‘’Little Lion Man’, ‘Summer of ‘69’, ‘Wonderwall’ and ‘Let Me Go’.

18 James McLaughlin from Argyle Street and at the heats James sang: ‘Little Respect’, ‘Drive By’, ‘With or Without You’, ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ and ‘All Right Now’.

16 Conor McLain aged 16 years from Grangemore and at the heats Conor sang: ‘I Won’t Give Up’, ‘Wherever You Will Go’, ‘She’s Out of My Life’, ‘Don’t Speak’ and ‘Red’

19 Jenny Cregan from Gleneagles via Boston and for the heats Jenny sang: ‘Your Song’, ‘Where The Streets Have No Name’, ‘Stay’ and ‘But I Do Love You’.

07 Rachel Doherty from Ewing Street. At the heats Rachel sang: ‘To Make You Feel My Love’, ‘I’m So Excited’, ‘How Do I Love You’ and ‘ ‘Need You Now’.

20 Caolan O’Mainain from Temple Park. At the heats Caolan sang: ‘Too Close’, ‘Fast Car’, ‘Walking in Memphis’ and ‘Accidentially in Love’.

04 Eoin O’Kane from Woodbrook and at the heats Eoin sang: ‘My Way’, ‘The Power of Love’, ‘Sit Down’ and ‘National Express’.

13 Emily McCarron aged 17 years from Brookdale, and at the heats Emily sang: ‘Travelling Soilder’, ‘Stand By Me’, ‘Fields of Gold’ and ‘Use Somebody’.

12 Danny Wade aged 16 years from Curragh Walk, who, at the heats, sang: ‘Allelujah’, ‘The Rose’, ‘You’re Not Alone’ and ‘Closer’.

01 Leona Anderson from Northland Road, and at the heats Leona sang: ‘Run’, ‘Like A Prayer’, ‘Fields of Gold’ and ‘Clown’.

05 Monica Wilson from Marlborough Terrace and at the heats Monica sang: ‘Wherever You Will Go’, ‘Torn’, ‘How Will I Know’ and ‘Nothing Compares to You’.

The evening will be introduced by Drive 105.3fm station manager Felix Healy and compere for the evening will be Billy Carlin. Presenters Kevin Boyle and Paul Doherty will be out and about during the interval speaking to the audience and taking some recordings.

Special guests include the Derry Rose Julianna Ayton, young singing sensation Maolisa Harkin and, just flown in from Down Under the 2012 Drive Factor winner Audrey McLaughlin. According to reports Audrey just didn’t want to miss the grand final.!

After all twelve finalists have performed there will be an interval when the judges -Ronnie Brolly representing the Taxi Co, Eileen Warren alias Rikki T, Frances and Lana Campbell and Martin Mullan - will retire to a private room to deliberate on their choices for the sing off whilst the public will continue voting.

In addition to text voting there will be voting boxes with the voting number of all twelve finalists - these will be located in the foyer of the Forum.

All voting stops at 9.00 pm and votes will then be counted and verified.

Four finalists will go through to the sing off, two selected by public vote and two more will be selected by the judges.

The Millennium Forum box office has reported brisk sales and booking for the Grand Final which starts at 7.30 pm and not 8.00 pm as stated on the ticket. The show will be recorded for broadcast on Monday evening on Drive 105.3fm at 7.30 pm, this gives the finalists an opportunity to relive the thrills and excitement of the grand final tomorrow evening
