Fire-breathing tall men, winter elves and Santa on a neon bike are among those making an appearance at the Christmas Sound of Light Parade in Derry.
Families and shoppers gathered to watch the magical procession as it set off from Bishop Street car park on Friday evening.
The parade created a whir of colour and music as it wound its way through Pump Street, Ferryquay Street, Shipquay Street and Castle Street, ending up at Harbour Square at the back of the Guildhall.
Here the performers gathered in a circle to entertain those who had braved the sub-zero temperatures to follow the event.
The Sound of Light is billed as one of the highlights of the city’s Christmas festivities.
It features colourful Christmas characters brought to life by production company LUXE.
