Spring clean for naiscoil

The Triax Neighbourhood Management Team and Derry City Council have joined forces with staff and pupils of Naiscoil na Rinne to give the grounds of the Irish language playschool a spring clean this week.

Colm Barton from Triax said; “We have been engaged in community environmental projects for the best part of two years and are delighted to have the opportunity to lend our assistance to Naiscoil na Rinne with this project. By working with Derry City Council we are in a position to help the Niascoil and by extension the children who attend.”

The community worker also added; “This is the type of work the NMT has been engaged in over the years, helping residents and community groups to improve the physical appearance of the area and enhancing their facilities for the wider community. If other groups or individuals would like assistance I would encourage them to contact myself on 02871 261916 or Kevin Campbell in the Corn Beef Tin on 02871 281900.”

Speaking on behalf of Naíscoil na Rinne, Jacquie Ward said; “On behalf of the staff and pupils of Naíscoil na Rinne I would like to thank all the members of the Triax Neighbourhood Management Team and James McIvor and the staff from Derry City Council for enhancing the play area and helping us to create a clean and safe environment for outdoor play.”
