Waterside Community representatives have combined their efforts to celebrate St Patrick’s Day with a wide range of community events taking place on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March in the Waterside.
Everyone is welcome to join the celebrations at The Community Marquee which will be erected at Lisnagelvin pitches, Irish street (opposite Altnagelvin Garden centre).
On Saturday there’s a family friendly day starting at 11am with a Science and Gadget fair starting at 2pm which promises all sorts of interactive, fun and interesting gadgets and workshops. The ‘Big Band night’ with ‘Undercover’ then starts at 7pm.
On Sunday sports clubs from across the city are hosting boot-camps and taster sessions before churches and communities will join together at 2pm for an Inter-Denominational Mother’s Day Service to celebrate all the ladies in our lives.
A ‘Traditions Meet’ event starts at 7pm, with a a traditional Irish Ceilidh from 9pm rounding off the weekend.
