Wanted - bands and singer /songwriters for Strabane’s Sounds Like Summer music competition. Yes it’s that time of year again, Sounds Like Summer is back! Now in its 5th year the Alley Theatre, Strabane is anticipating another year of great music and has called on all musicians to get involved in one of Northern Ireland’s leading festivals for unsigned bands.

Sounds Like Summer (SLS) has grown from strength to strength since it was launched in 2008, attracting bands and musicians from all over Ireland and the UK.

Last year Derry musician Conor McAteer took the title winning the opportunity to shoot his own music video for his single Moonglass from his latest album ‘The Devil in Ether’. Other finalists who have competed in Sounds Like Summer and gone on to immense success include Derry’s Wonder Villains who have performed at Glastonbury and at Radio One’s ‘One Big Weekend’. Rainy Boy Sleep who was a finalist in 2009 and 2010 and has now gone on to support James Morrison in his concert tours.
