‘Sunday’ witnesses sought

A public notice appealing for witnesses to the Bloody Sunday massacre in Derry 42 years ago has been issued by the PSNI.

The notice, which appears in today’s paper, says detectives from the Serious Crime Branch want to re-interview witnesses who gave evidence to the Saville Inquiry.

Police want to make contact with and re-interview any civilians and former soldiers who gave evidence to Saville or who may have information about the events of January 30, 1972 in which 13 people died.

Witnesses can contact the investigation team on 028 90259593 or by email at BloodySundayEnquiry@psni.pnn.police.uk
