Susan Duddy marries ‘Strictly’s’ Vincent in Castle Leslie ceremony

Best known for his fancy footwork on BBC One’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, Vincent Simone married his long-term girlfriend Susan Duddy, from Derry, earlier this month.

The couple, who met at the BBC bar in 2007, have two young sons together, Luca, 5, and Mateo, who turns two in September.

Susan, who hails from the Altnagelvin area of the city, wore a beautiful full-skirted strapless gown, while Vincent looked very dapper in a black and white tux.

However, the happy couple didn’t perform a choreographed first dance as Susan told ‘Hello’ magazine.

“Dancing is his career and I am so used to him dancing with Flavia and the girls on ‘Strictly’. It may sound strange but Vincent and I had never really danced together.”

Describing the moment he saw his bride for the first time on the day, Vincent said: ‘I felt incredibly emotional and was worried I wouldn’t keep it together. I couldn’t look back at Susan as she walked up the aisle because I was afraid I would dissolve into tears. She looked so beautiful, really breathtaking.”

The couple were joined by some of the former Strictly star’s fellow contestants from ‘I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here’ including Rebecca Adlington, David Emanuel and Matthew Wright, who was best man.

The full interview and photos of the big day are in this week’s Hello! magazine, which is out now.
