Winner of BBC’s The Voice 2013, Andrea Begley performs at the Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre/Ionad Ealaíon agus Cultúir Ghleann na Ró, Limavady for a special concert on Saturday, 8 November, at 8pm.
Andrea took both the artist judges and the audience by storm when she auditioned and won The Voice, mentored by Danny O’Donaghue of The Script. Not only did she move Danny and Tom Jones to tears with her enchanting voice, but she also wooed the UK as they watched her on stage.
Andrea’s first album ‘The Message’ reached no. 7 in the UK charts in October last year and in this very special concert, she presents songs from her album as well as some of the Irish traditional music that has influenced her as a singer from a young age.
Andrea comes from a strong musical heritage with her aunt being country legend Philomena Begley but she is most renowned for her incredible angelic voice which renders audiences speechless.
Recently performing as special guest to Grammy winner Beth Nielsen Chapman at the Arts centre, Beth declared Andrea our national treasure! Don’t miss the chance to catch this rare songbird in Limavady.
