The Playhouse Theatre of Witness Programme has brought its unique model of performance to New York City and Connecticut.
Participants from 2011 Derry-based Theatre of Witness Production ‘I Once Knew a Girl’, which explores the unheard stories of women in Northern Ireland, are performing their monologues at two prestigious events in the US.
Performers Kathleen and Anne will take part in the Peace and Reconciliation Gathering, presented by The Irish Studies Program at Fairfield University in Connecticut, and perform at the New York Irish Center in Queens.
The actors are accompanied by Playhouse Founder and Artistic Director, Pauline Ross.
Theatre of Witness was developed by founder and artistic director Teya Sepinuck that gives voice to the marginalised and forgotten.
