Third tragedy for Inishowen fishing family

The Inishowen fisherman who died after falling from a boat off the coast of Mayo has been named.

Cathal McDaid from Culdaff, died after he went into the water yesterday morning.

He was airlifted by the Sligo rescue helicopter and brought to Sligo Airport, where medics pronounced him dead.

Three years ago, two of his uncles, Danny and Francis McDaid, from Glengad, drowned while lobster fishing in Lough Foyle.
