The Gateway Siungers will present a St. Patrick’s Day celebration of music and dance with guests on Friday, 16th March at 8 p.m. in the Plaza. Admission is 10 euro and proceeds will go to the Nursing Unit and the Gateway Choir funds.

The Annual General Meeting of the Buncrana Chamber of Commerce will be held next Tuesday, 13th March in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel, commencing at 8pm. The election of new committee members for 2012/2013 will be discussed and all Chamber members are asked to attend.

The History Links Project is currently looking for new participants for a Buncrana group. There be weekly meetings in the Angling Centre at 4.30 p.m. on Wednesdays. The group welcomes anyone from the wider area with an interest in local history. Over the coming months there will be trips away and meetings with groups from other areas. Come along and give it a go. A dance will take place in the Illies school hall on Sunday, March 18th, with music by Stll Water and John McGeoghan. Over 15s and dancing from 9.30pm to 12.30pm Admission 5 euro and refreshments will be served. Everyone welcome.

Acting classes commencing in Tullyarvan Mill on Thursday, 15th March at 7.30pm. The classes are aimed at the beginner as well as the more advanced. The Foyle and Inishowen Chernobyl Group will be bag packing in Supervalu, Buncrana tomorrow in aid of a “Home of Hope” in Belarus. A “Home of Hope” costs 50,000 euro and shelters up to 10 previously institutionalised children, placing them with loving foster parents.

The Good Morning Service County Donegal is launching a new project the ‘Friendly Face Befriending Scheme’, covering the Inishowen Primary care area. This new addition is a natural progression for the organisation and will supplement the existing and very successful telephone contact service. Ceili Classes are held in Desertegney every Wednesday at 8.30 p.m. All welcome.
