Traffic disruption due to St. Patrick's Day parades

Drivers have been warned of traffic disruption on St Patrick's Day due to parades in Dungiven and Feeny.

Police say in Dungiven, St Canice’s AOH will take part in feeder parades at about 10.40am and again at 7pm.

There will also be parades in Feeny at 11am and again at 6.30pm.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.

Large crowds are also expected for St Patrick’s Day celebrations in Portstewart. Motorists are advised to allow extra time and to take extra care when encountering pedestrians. In Coleraine, Ulster Protestant Boys Flute Band will host a parade that will assemble at Killowen Orange Hall at about 8pm. At least 50 bands are expected to attend and the parade will commence at 8.30pm.
