Derry City F.C. legend, Mark Farren, has returned home to Inishowen after receiving potentially life-saving treatment for a grade four brain tumour in Tijuana in Northern Mexico.
Mark and wife Terri-Louise returned home to Moville less than two weeks ago. The couple are hoping to return to Mexico at the end of August or the start of September for Mark to receive his final bout of treatment.
Speaking to the ‘Journal’ in their home on Wednesday morning, Mark’s wife Terri-Louise described what has happened to the young couple as something from a “nightmare”.
“It’s been one long horrendous nightmare and I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy,” said Terri-Louise.
Terri-Louise also told the ‘Journal’ how the North’s Deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness, had helped the couple on their journey to Mexico.
