Village of the year judges to visit Strathfoyle

Residents, businesses and community groups have been urged to back a bid to see Strathfoyle named village of the year.

A panel of judges from the Calor Village of the year Competition will visit Strathfoyle on August 22.

Eamonn O’Donnell of the Enagh Youth Forum, who entered Strathfoyle in the competition, says community support is vital.

“This is a real positive opportunity for us as a community to get together and improve our village and instil a sense of pride of place within the area.”

Judges will make their assessments on a range of categories including the environment, investment in young people, provision for older people and building community life.
