Void Youth Programme launch: call for participants

Void Gallery is delighted to be working in partnership with intern and artist facilitator, Zoe McSparron, in the creation of a new Youth Programme.

This programme is aimed at persons aged 14-20 and will create an encouraging and creative space where participants will explore their personal and collective creativity. While developing their individual creativity, members will also engage in innovative research, experimentation, and create work in response to our ambitious exhibitions programme.

The emphasis on this youth group will not only be about enjoying art, it will also be about gaining experience on a professional level. Participants will have the opportunity to programme talks, podcasts, and lectures, which will be presented online or in the gallery (pending COVID-19 restrictions), write exhibition texts and press releases, set up Instagram takeovers, collaborate and work alongside professional creatives. Said a spokesperson: “We want this to be a group created by you, for you, so if you are interested in the creative arts and are aged 14-20 we would be grateful if you could complete an expression of interest survey at www.derryvoid.com.”
