Weekend book sale at Warren View

A big book sale will take place tomorrow and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a great selection of books, all very reasonably priced.

A social evening has been organised to take place at Warren View Manor on Tuesday next 15th March, commencing at 8.30 p.m. Come along and enjoy a great nights entertainment.

A big fun Coffee Day will be taking place on Sunday, 20th March in Quigley’s Point Community Centre from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will also be face painting, manicures, jewellery polishing and raffles and prizes. All proceeds will go to Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, Dublin and to the Chest, Heart and Stroke Association at Letterkenny Hospital. The support of the whole community would be very much appreciated. So come along and have a nice cup of coffee or tea and some home baking and have a chat and support these very worthy causes.

Have you time on your hands to volunteer two days a week to help with the catering at Warren View Manor? They require two kitchen assistants and two people to assist with domestic duties. If you feel that you can donate some of your time, then please contact Marion Molloy at 0749384001 as soon as possible.

In the Drung Parish Draw last week 1st prize of 200 euro went to Seamus Breslin, promoter Margaret Doherty; 2nd, 100 euro, Tanya McColgan, promoter Ann M. Orr, 3, 50 euro, Denise McDermott, promoter, Ellen Doherty.

Pilates and Yoga classes continue in Greenbank Hall. Pilates on Mondays from 6.45 to 7.45 p.m. and Fridays 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Yoga takes place on Thursdays from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 8 p.m.-9.30 p.m. New members very welcome.

Enrolment forms are now available at Scoil Naomh Fionan for all children starting school in September 2011. Completed forms should be returned to the School before 31st March, 2011.

There was no jackpot winner last week in the Quigleys Point Community Centre/RCD Ltd. Mini Lotto draw. The winning numebrs were 3:5:6:20 and the four 15 euro winners were: Darren Curran, Ballyargus; Robert McGonagle, Clar; Vincent Breslin, Ballyargus and Jim Doherty, Tullynavin. The jackpot tonight will be 2,600 euro.

Quigleys Point Swifts FC: The Committee of Quigley’s Point Swifts Football Club are holding a ‘night at the races’ on Friday 1st April in the Squealin Pig, Muff commencing at 9 p.m. Horses may be bought from any Club member. A presentation of Quigleys Point Swifts forty years will be shown before the Races start, so come along and see if you recognise yourself.

Bingo continues every Saturday night in St. Mary’s Hall, Muff, commencing at 9.15 p.m. sharp. Your continued support is very much appreciated.
