This is the Derry man who’s got a chance at scooping an amazing £1m when he appears on the RTE show Winning Streak tomorrow night.

Jim O’Donnell from Steelstown Road will be taking a busload of family and friends to Dublin with him tomorrow night to take part in the hit show.

He’s guaranteed to win at least £10,000 but the top prize is a cool million.

There’s also a chance of winning spot prizes along the way including a car.

Jim’s wife Leonie bought the winning ticket in Bertie O’Neill’s in Bridgend a few weeks ago and put his name on it.

And poor Jim didn’t even know his name had been picked out last Saturday night because his two grand daughters were busy watching X Factor.

However the girls Macy (9) and Zoe (11) will forego their favourite television programme tomorrow night to support their grandad in Dublin.

As long as he promises to tape the X factor on Sky Plus for them.

Now retired Jim, a huge Derry City F.C. fan, says if he picks up the top prize he will spread his good fortune around the rest of the family.

It’s his television debut and Jim says he is looking forward to having the craic with Marty Whelan.

The show is on tomorrow night (Saturday) at 8.30 p.m. on RTE 1.

Good luck Jim.
