Legendary balladeers, The Wolfe Tones, will celebrate their 50th Anniversary with a very special performance at the Millennium Forum.
The Derry show on August 23rd will showcase their many hit songs from the past 50 years as well as some of their most recent compositions.
Having first performed in Derry away back in 1964, it is poignant that The Wolfe Tones will return to the Maiden City 50 years after their first appearance to celebrate an amazing 50th anniversary.
Emerging from the ballad boom of the early 1960s, The Wolfe Tones started out on a career which has taken them to the heights of not just Irish, but international entertainment.
Their achievements are a roll call of some of the world’s most famous awards including receiving the Freedom of the cities of New York and Los Angeles, being presented with Philadelphia’s greatest honour - The Liberty Bell, and selling out New York’s Carnegie Hall on numerous occasions.
The Forum show will see The Wolfe Tones in a very special performance that promises to be one of the highlights of their 50th Anniversary year. Tickets, £19.50, can be booked by calling 028 71 26 44 55 or online from www.millenniumforum.co.uk. Early booking is recommended.
