A vitally important workshop entitled ‘Women: Violence, Community Safety and Feelings of Security’ will take place on Thursday, March 29, from 10.30am-1.30pm at the Northern Bank Studio in the Millennium Forum.
Organised by The Women’s Resource and Development Agency (WRDA) and the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland, this workshop will explore concerns around the broad question of violence and safety, especially at a community level – what community safety might mean and how this has changed over time? Do women in local communities feel more or less secure than they did during the period of violent communal conflict? What are the issues that are now most important in their lives regarding their own personal safety and that of their families? The workshop is part of a Peace 3 project.
Book your place at the workshop by emailing Maureen at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Lunch will be provided.
