The Xtra-vision store in Limavady is to close in the New Year.
The Main Street store is one of eight across Northern Ireland to be closed in January.
The ‘Journal’ understands staff were informed on Thursday evening.
Sinn Fein Colr. Brenda Chivers said news of the closure was “devastating for the borough” and said her party would be in contact with the company.
“It’s another business closing down and more people on the dole. Hopefully, they will be able to gain employment elsewhere and, hopefully, the company will give them support in trying to find future employment,” said Colr. Chivers.
