Deep appreciation for mother’s nursing care

We write to publicly acknowledge our deep appreciation of the care given to our late mother, Rose McGrenera, during her residence in Nazareth House Nursing Home, Fahan.

It was our experience during this period, that the nursing and caring staff performed their duties not just professionally but with real care, kindness, good humour and respect. This nursing home is blessed with staff who are particularly gifted for this work.

On all our visits, the family was pleased that everything possible was being done to afford our mother all possible care and comfort, which she very much appreciated. Her contentment was enhanced by the opportunity to participate in daily Mass, including on her last day just a few hours before she died.

Our family is deeply grateful to the Sisters of Nazareth and the staff (including the activities officer, catering, cleaning, laundry and administration) who all contribute to creating a really loving and joyful home. In visiting, we felt welcome, friendship and reassurance, and our mother had the wonderful gift of great peace in her final months.
