The blue and yellow bunting will be flying in Burt for the foreseeable future.
The Donegal village welcomed the Ulster Club Junior Hurling champions home on Sunday, following their victory over Antrim’s Creggan Kickhams.
Mickey McCann and Ronan McDermott scored Burt’s goals in the replay match in Armagh’s Morgan Park.
Speaking afterwards at the celebratory meal in An Grianan Hotel, Burt captain, Ardal McDermott, thanked their manager, Andrew Wallace.
He added: “I am very, very proud of the whole team. They have made an immense effort during the year and today. They have shown great character and ability all year and never more so than today.
“We were down to 14 men in the early stages of the second half. It sounds like a cliche but it’s true, Burt showed true grit and determination. They are worthy champions.
“It would be unfair to single anyone out but the older stalwarts blended well with the more youthful, up and coming players. We had a good mix of youth and experience to day. They all played exceptionally well.”
