DIV THREE: Drum roll on toward Intermediate Football

Drum v Magherafelt Thirds

Magherafelt Thirds face an enormous task away to high-flying Drum a team that has already beaten them well this season. Drum look to be well on their way to Intermediate football which has been their aim for the past two years. On form it should be a busy afternoon for the Rossas keeper and defenders.

Ogra Colmcille v Ardmore

This will be the St. Mary’s first outing since the tragic death of their player, Gerard Quinn. They have already suffered a heavy defeat at home to Ogra and it is hard to see the under performing St. Mary’s side turning that result around.

Doire Colmcille v Glack

Glack will be trying desperately to get their poor season back on track after their worst start in some years. They will still be favourites to beat a Doire Colmcille team that has improved but are still miles away from getting a good league run. However, last Sunday the Colmcille’s caused a major shock by beating Magilligan away from home.

Slaughtneil Thirds v Dolan’s

Slaughtneil Thirds held Glack to a draw in their last home game and they are not without a chance of getting something from a Dolans team whose away form is not great. Slaughtneil have a knack of getting goals and they could well get a result. They have some players of senior experience with Shane and Jim Kelly still having a bit of quality about their play.

Limavady v Magilligan (7.30pm)

Definitely the game of the round between two neighbouring teams. When they met in the first round at Magilligan the home team looked the better for long periods. Three last quartet goals from Cormac Quigley gave the Wolfhounds a deserved win but the final margin was more than a bit flattering.

Limavady may be the favourites again but it could be closer this time.
