Defending Champions Kick-Start Season With Victory

TOP OF the Hill Celtic began their Premier Division title defence when coming from behind to secure a hard earned victory over Don Bosco’s on Sunday morning.

Also in the top flight, Porter’s showed great quality to bounce back from a 2-0 deficit to claim victory over Downey’s and Tristar netted eight past newly promoted Lisahally.

Elsewhere, Abercorn defeated Brandywell Harps in a close encounter while Celtic Swifts were unable to field a team against Three Flowers and therefore lose all three points and face a fine.

Meanwhile, in the First Division, The Bentley secured an emphatic win over Maydown, Oakgrove defeated Campbell’s, Culmore claimed the win over Ballymoor Youths, Gainsborough recorded victory over Strand United and A.O.H lost out to Phoenix.
