Goals from Barry McNamee and Dean Jarvis put Kenny Shiels’ team in the hat for the last four draw which took place at Abbotstown on Wednesday. The second semi-final see a Dublin derby between holders St Patrick’s Athletic and Shamrock Rovers with both ties due to be played on Monday, August 1st.

Despite facing lower league opposition, Shiels will know Limerick are no easy draw given their superb recent form which has them as runaway First Division leaders after recording nine wins from their opening nine league games, already some 12 points clear of second placed Drogheda and seemingly set for a return to the top flight.
