DERRY CITY: Parking regulations for Derry City fans ahead of Maginn Park opener

Derry City fans travelling to Buncrana's Maginn Park for tonight's Premier Division game against Limerick are asked to take note of the following arrangements which have been put in place by both the club and An Garda Siochana.

The Garda have instructed Derry City F.C. that NO PARKING will be permitted on Marian Park or in the Marian Park residential area, Maginn Avenue and Ferris Lane areas that are adjacent to the perimeter of the ground and that parking restrictions will be in place and enforced.

Lidl and Aldi supermarkets are also operational on Friday nights and people travelling to the game are requested NOT to park in supermarket car parks and to use the designated areas.

Parking is available for those attending the game at the following locations - Shore Car Park at Aileach Road; St. Mary’s Oratory Car Park, St. Mary’s Road; Waste Ground area beyond Lidl Supermarket, McCarter’s Road; Lunch Box Car Park, McCarter’s Road and in the Pro Hire Car Park (area above Lidl, accessed via ramp behind Supermarket) McCarter’s Road.

Supporters are asked to note that there will be NO PARKING available in the Medical Centre Car Park on McCarter’s Road as it will be required for medical emergencies, please respect this.

There should be NO PARKING on Double Yellow Lines as these will be operational so please observe parking regulations.

Disabled parking is available (SIX SPACES) in the Club Car Park on Ferris Lane which can be accessed via Buncrana Main Street/Ferris Lane.

Please note that the Ferris Lane Car Park is strictly for authorised vehicles only and vehicle owners are asked to respect this policy on match days.

In order to avoid traffic management problems Derry City F.C. request that supporters should consider the possibility a car share policy when travelling to games at Maginn Park.

Alcohol Free

No alcohol is permitted in Maginn Park and this wil be strictly enforced by Derry City Stewards and Gardai inside the ground. Buncrana is also an alcohol-free area and all supporters are asked to comply with this stipulation when attending matches.

The use of Flares,Smoke Bombs & Pyrotechnics inside and outside the ground on Match Day is strictly forbidden. Anyone found in possession of such items or who discharges such items inside or outside the ground on Match Days is liable to arrest and prosecution by An Garda Síochána and will face a ban from Derry City F.C. games for an indefinite period.

Please Note there will be no access to the turnstiles on Ferris Lane via Marian Park.

Derry City Supporters are requested to access the tunstiles from the Main Street,Ferris Lane direction. Supporters using the down town car parks are asked to use the Maginn Avenue, Main Street, Ferris Lane route to the tunstiles.

Supporters from away teams are requested to access the ground via Gate 6 on Marian Road. In the interests of safety and security supporters may be asked to remain behind for a short period after the final whistle before being escorted to their transport.

In the interests of the health, safety and welfare all those attending the game all supporters are asked to comply with the instructions and directions of Derry City F.C. stewards and Garda personnel.
