FAI CUP: Derry City drawn away to Edenderry Town in FAI Cup

Derry City have been paired with Leinster Senior League representatives, Edenderry Town in the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup second round following this afternoon’s draw at FAI headquarters.

Peter Hutton’s side, who finished as runners-up in last year’s competition to St Patrick’s Athletic, will travel to Fr Paul Park in Co. Offaly on the weekend of May 29th next.

Edenderry qualifed for the FAI Cup having reached the latter stages of the FAI Intermediate Cup and were granted a bye in the opening round.

Republic of Ireland legend, Paul McGrath and the FAI’s Tony Fitzgerald performed the draw in Abbottstown which involved 20 Airtricity League clubs, nine Intermediate and three Junior clubs.

Meanwhile, Cockhill Celtic were handed a home draw against St Mochta’s FC while Finn Harps are away to Longford Town,
