Flowers fancied to make McAlinden semi-finals

There are only three games down for decision this Sunday and those matches are the McAlinden Cup quarter-finals.

Holders, Three Flowers play Trojans; Porters take on Culmore and Tristar come up against Brandywell Harps.

Downey’s have already booked their place in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, on Tueday night Don Bosco’s secured their Premier Division status when they defeated a very weak Abercorn team 2-0. This result means that Oxford Colts are relegated.

Ballymoor and Gainsboro have joined the Derry & District F.A. for next season along with Campbell’s and will take their place in Division One.

A meeting will be held on Monday May 9th at 7.30 p.m. There has still been no word from a few of the existing teams and if they are not present at this meeting and, indeed, pay their entry fee, they will be excluded from next season’s programme.

On Sunday, May 8th, the McAlinden Cup semi-finals will be played with the final down for decision in the Brandywell Stadium on May 15th.

The annual Presentation of Prizes will take place in the A.O.H. Clubrooms on Monday, May 23rd, therefore, all trophies must be returned for the meeting on May 16th.
