Kevin Deery’s side produced another super second half display, which was capped off with Stephen O’Donnell and Stephe Mills goals.

Stute have now won five league games out of six and are three points behind fourth placed Loughgall, having played a game less.

The Waterside men were inches away from taking the lead when Niall Grace’s close range header was superbly kept out by a fully stretched Armagh goalkeeper Sean Morgan.

Morgan had to make another smart save minutes later again he did well to deny Grace, this time tipping the striker’s effort around the post.

After those early scares it was the visitors who were denied this time with the woodwork.

Jordan Bell saw his 20 yard strike, which had beaten Marty Gallagher, hit the post and Stefan Lavery’s follow-up effort was ruled out for offside.

On 30 minutes Stephen O’Donnell went close but his glancing close range effort flashed just wide.

Right on the stroke of half-time Stute had another super chance but Grace’s header was cleared off the line by Sean Mallon, after Morgan was caught out by Sean Roddy’s initial free-kick.

Armagh started the second half on the front foot and they would have broken the deadlock but for a super save by Gallagher.

Lavery’s great control saw him get half a yard on the edge of the box, but his attempted lob had to be pushed over the bar by a fully stretched Gallagher.

McGinty had a half chance on 56 minutes when Grace’s clever back-heel inside the box found the midfielder but his weak left footed strike was straight at Morgan.

A super precise pass by Roddy on 70 minutes released substitute Stephen Mills, but his shot from 10 yards was kept out by Morgan.

Institute did break the deadlock a minute later when Roddy’s left winger corner found an in-rushing O’Donnell, who made no mistake heading home from close range.

The home side doubled their lead on 78 minutes in bizarre circumstances when after a major goalmouth scramble which saw Morgan kept out Michael McCrudden’s close range stirke was parried straight into Mills path and he gleefully side footed home.
