Influential midfielder, Michael McCrudden is expected to make himself available for selection as Institute resume their league campaign against Limavady United at Rathmor Road tomorrow. (Kick-off 3 p.m.)
The Top of the Hill lad has missed the Drumahoe club’s last two fixtures after sustaining a knee injury in the league victory over Coagh United on August 17th last.
McCrudden netted twice in that game from the penalty spot and manager, Paul Kee will certainly welcome his return to action.
After responding well to treatment, McCrudden is likely to start on the bench as ‘Stute attempt to record successive league wins.
Kee made several changes for last Friday night’s NW Senior Cup win over Tobermore with Colm McLaughlin and Sean Reilly both handed starts.
And with Graham Crown’s return to the squad following the sudden death of his father, Kee is happy to face a selection headache ahead of tomorrow’s game. “We tried out a few new players against Tobermore,” said Kee. “We brought in young Colm McLaughlin at left back and we also started Sean Reilly in midfield.
“We’ve also signed Tom Carlin and Matty Crossan while Michael McCrudden and Graham Crown will come back in so there’s competition.”
Limavady are currently second from bottom in the table with just one point from the opening three games.
Nevertheless, Kee expects the ‘Roesiders’ to provide a stern test. “
We have to keep up the concentration and discipline and respect our opponent because Limavady are going to come out and look for a proud performance.”
