The squad start their UEFA Regions Cup campaign against Turkey on Monday November 14, before facing Switzerland two days later on November 16 and finishing up with the hosts on Friday November 18 and the group winners qualify for the finals in June 2017.

Boss McConkey watched his side narrowly lose 1-0 to their Republic of Ireland counterparts a few weeks ago, but he was pleased with the game.

“The Republic have just come off the back of qualifying for the finals having beaten teams from Italy and Macedonia and drawn with Slovenia in topping their group,” he said.

“They were delighted to get another work out, while it offered us a gauge before we go to Moldova.”
