PARK Bar consolidated their top of the table position in the Metro Bar Derry & District League with what proved an easy victory over Lisahally on Sunday.

Having netted five goals without reply, the men from Francis Street have issued an early statement of intent.

In the big Waterside derby, Top of the Hill Celtic edged out near neighbours, Campbell’s in what proved to be a thriller at Lisnagelvin, that game ending with a 3-2 scoreline.

New Derry & District recruits, Prehen, again displayed some quality play but they failed to overcome a stronger Tristar, the visitors enjoying a 4-2 victory.

And Phoenix once again exhibited their class with a hard-earned 3-2 verdict over Oxford United Stars.

In the Creggan derby, Don Bosco’s failed to field a team against Trojans with Trojans awarded the points and a 2-0 victory.
