CREGGAN Swifts emerged the big winners in last weekend’s Saturday Morning League programme which involved just seven matches.
With Clifton Villa arriving without a recognised goalkeeper, Swifts took full advantage when recording a 5-0 victory.
And that result was boosted when news filtered through that leaders, Westbank United, were held to a draw by Brandywell Celtic, that result seeing Celtic’s lead on the summit cut to just two points with Creggan boasting a game in hand.
In the Championship, meanwhile, Tamnaherin Celtic have climbed onto the top of the table thanks to their 3-2 win over Bentley and Hatmore Harps moved in to their slipstream with a good win over Art Deco.
The only other game in this division saw Tristar and Strabane Athletic share the spoils in a 3-3 result.
In the First Division play-off semi-final Culmore and Clooney, Culmore won the game thanks to netting the odd goal in nine.
