Westbank remain in pole position

WESTBANK UNITED remain in pole position in the race for the Premier Division title as they managed to fend off the challenge of a determined Creggan Swifts on Saturday.

And Westbank’s closest rivals, Phoenix Swifts came from behind to record victory over Foyle Harps to stay within touching distance of the league pacesetters.

Also in the top flight, Brandywell Celtic recorded a comfortable win against Clooney and Oxford United came from behind to defeat Rosemount.

In the Championship, Red Star had to settle for a draw with Rocking Chair while Newton spurned the chance to go top having let slip a significant lead during their draw with Tamnaherin Celtic.

Meanwhile, in the First Division, Benbradagh Colts moved into second place, 20 points behind the leaders and Collon Celtic scored twice in the last four minutes of their victory against HML.
