There is a great entry of greyhounds for all the competitions and it is certain to be a great night of racing.

There was no winner of the track Lotto last Monday night. The numbers drawn were - 2, 12, 29. Monday night’s jackpot will now be worth £3,200 and tickets can be bought at the track before the first race at 8 p.m.

Before then, however, there is a good 12 race programme in store at Lifford Greyhound Stadium on Saturday night.

On a tightly graded card finding winners will be no easy task for punters but having looked through the card there are three greyhounds that I think have good chances of winning their respective races.

In the 8th race over 550 yards, ‘Athboy Premier’, owned by Pat Hanna looks the one to be on. The July ‘13 bitch won a 550 last week at the track coming from off the pace to win in a time of 30.50. She had to overcome a tricky trap five in that race and from a more favourable trap one on Saturday night ‘Athboy Premier’ is fancied to win for her Co. Tyrone owner.

The second bet on the card will be ‘Nosey Meg’ in the 11th race over 525 yards. The May 12 bitch, owned by Kieran McCann has been beaten in her last two races in A2 grade at the track but she is eased in grade tomorrow night to A3 grade. Also a major plus is she runs from her favoured trap one in tomorrow night’s race. With normal luck she should win for her Coalisland based owner.

The final bet for me on the card is ‘Kelsey’s Queen’ in the 10th race over 350 yards. ‘Kelsey’s Queen’ once again takes on ‘Hather Slippy’ who beat her by under a length in her last race at the track in a time of 19.08. The deciding factor on Saturday could be that ‘Kelsey’s Queen’ is drawn on the inside of ‘Hather Slippy’. If Kelsey’s Queen’ breaks from trap two I fancy her to win for her Derry based owner, Stephen Radcliffe.

The first race race will be at 7.50pm.
