Noel O’Donnell (19) may have blanked the final hole at Prehen on Saturday last, but his 42 points proved to be good enough to claim the O’Doherty Brothers sponsored stableford.
Gerry Webb (24) finished in second place, one point adrift while Ciaran Burke (13) took third following a tie-break on 39 pts.
Aaron Taylor (2) won the gross with 36 points, while Ronan Burns (15) emerged the best Junior with 40 pts.
Kathleen O Doherty (35) mother of the generous sponsors was the proud winner of the ladies competition following a break of tie over the consistent Rose Campbell (15), both players returning 34 points.
Meanwhile, Eugene Hillick (23) claimed top honours in last week’s Thursday Open Stableford thanks to a tie-break falling in his favour after he returned 40 points.
The runner-up was John Hamilton (7), who lost out over the last six holes which finally deciding the issue.
Billy Acheson (25) won a break of tie for third with 39 points while Aaron Taylor (2) won the gross with 37 pts.
Mark McCarter (23) from Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Club, emerged the best of the visitors with 36 points.
Ronan Burns (18) took the Junior’s prize, his second win in a row.
