The Phoenix Bar maintained their recent good run of form with a resounding 21-4 victory over the Oak Grove to consolidate second place and close the gap on Estate Services Friday Night Darts league leaders, Maileys.
Phoenix were boosted by the return from international duty of ‘Mr ‘Bravedart’ himself Mickey Wallace.
Elsewhere George’s bar and the Castle played out an entertaining 10-15 score line in favour of the visiting team but it was John Given who stole the headlines on the night when he produced magical 14 and 17 darts respectively to clinch a 3-1 score line over his opponent
In the night other games, Tracey’s Bar outscored the Carraig Bar in what looked like a right an ‘ding dong’ battle of a match by 14-12.
Mailey’s Bar came out on top against a spirited Fairview by 19-9 with Eamon Cassidy, the sole player to win for the visitors.
Five players hit a maximum 180 on Friday night headed up by Gerry Doherty (Fairview), Paul ‘Bear’ Houston (Tracey’s), Stacy ‘Din’ Ramsey (Castle), James Clancy and Derek Gallagher (both Mailey’s).
