North-West

Thursday Society

Despite attrocious conditions, which saw last week’s North-West Thursday Society competition reduced to nine hoels, Brian McCarroll returned the top score of 20 points.

The runner-up, following a break of tie was Frank McCarroll with 18 points while Gerry Coyle took third spot on the same score.

The competition winner was the only player to card a “2.”

This Thursday’s competition is a Singles Stableford event, to be played over 18 holes.

City of Derry

Thursday Society

James Desmond (15) came out on top once again in City of Derry’s weekly Thursday Society competition, his second win in four outings.

On the most inclement of days when just 26 hardy souls ventured out, his superbly compiled 34 points over 13 holes gave him a two points winning margin over second placed George Curry (9) with Ricky Porter (12) a further shot behind taking the third and final spot.
