Frankie claims notable ‘double’ on President’s Day

Frankie Connolly (24) completed a notable double last weekend when winning Mr Francie Devine’s President’s Day Prize at Strabane Golf Club.

Having won the President’s Mixed prize the previous Wednesday when successfully teaming up with Lady Captain, Annette Patton, Frankie added the coveted President’s Prize to his collection.

A total of 182 members took to the fairways and Frankie’s 42 points total was enough to take the top prize.

The President thanked all the members for their courtesy throughout the year thanking all the committee and staff for their help during the season.

This weeks Mitchell’s Butchers Monday open saw yet another hole in one recorded at the club - the eighth of the season and the lucky recipient of a £225 Boss watch courtesy of “How did I” on this occasion was Eddie Patton with the perfect 7 iron shot at the 16th hole.
