MARGARET McLaren continued her recent rich vein of good form when claiming her first Lady Captain’s Prize at North-West on Saturday last.
Having impressed throughout this season, the popular Lisfannon member held a one point advantage over the large chasing pack.
For the club’s leading lady official, Mrs. Helen Quigley, it was a hugely successful day with the North-West course in pristine condition and the fairways particularly busy with players going out from early morning until well into the afternoon.
As usual a large crowd celebrated with Helen and her family into the small hours, rounding off what was an excellent day.

In the end, Joe Rahim (24), dispite triple bogeys at the first and 12th holes amassed a superb score of 43 points.

Strabane Ladies’ Members Cup was badly affected by the weather last week with heavy downpours during the early afternoon suspending play for a time. But when the golf did resume it was Anne Sharkey (20) who took top honours with a nett 67 score.
