THE glorious weather continued on Saturday and Neal Black (14) claimed first place in the Donnelly and Taggart Weekend Open Stableford at Faughan Valley with 41 points.
Second spot went to Castlerock’s David Ussher (16) after he scored 41 points and Alan McWhirter (26) with 40 points was third.
The Gross winner was James Lindsay after he scored 67 gross, Eoghan Brolly (22) with 22 points won the front nine and Shane McGahon (7) with 24 points won the back nine.
Tomorrow (Saturday) the Monthly Medal (Stroke) takes centre stage and on Sunday the Pampered Paws Open Stableford competition will be down for decision.
Meanwhile eight handicapper Glenn Curran secured Faughan Valley’s Mr President Trevor Peace’s Day after scoring 39 points.
