A world premiere performance of a new Northern Irish with Fahy Productions will be staged to kick off the Playhouse’s new 2014 theatre programme.

In a dynamic joint production with The Playhouse and Fahy Productions ‘All There Is’ by Jonathan Bailie will come to The Playhouse from 10 to 15 February.

Directed by J.P. Conaghan and starring local actors Nicky Harley, Francis Harkin and Micky Kelly this dark comic play deals with the nature of choice and the possibility of reconciliation.

‘All There Is’ tells the story of a woman lying by the roadside. A taxi man does ‘the right thing’. At the hospital a nurse catches his eye and the connection is made. But the woman’s boyfriend wants to know what really happened. Because nobody touches his girl. He has only one lead - the taxi man. Slowly his paranoia eats away at him. Until finally, he makes a decision...

A teaser for ‘All There Is’ was first shown at Pick ‘n’ Mix Festival in June 2012 to a captivated audience at The MAC in Belfast.

Set up in 2005, Fahy Productions strives to produce new and innovative theatre whilst exposing social issues. The company staged the award winning ‘Solicitors’ at The Playhouse in July 2011 and ‘Heroes with their Hands in the Air’ to mark the 40th anniversary of Bloody Sunday in 2012.

Artistic Director of Fahy Productions John-Paul Conaghan was production manager for every Playhouse production for UK City of Culture 2013 and has recently received the BBC Arts Fellowship Award to work with Tinderbox Theatre Company for 2014.

“The Playhouse is delighted to present this exciting new venture with Fahy Productions. This collaboration for this new writing, presented by the finest emerging local talent is the perfect start to The Playhouse’s 2014 programme, building upon the thrilling opportunities and partnerships forged during an unparalleled year!”
