Ten acts from the city, together with eight in India, will take part in Delhi- Derry: Electronic Connections, a partnership between Celtronic Festival and New Delhi online radio station Boxout.fm to showcase upcoming electronic music from both parts of the world.

The live stream will feature both acts and DJs, with a mix of ambient, house, electro and techno, with the performances coming live from Echo Echo Dance Studio on Derry’s historic walls, Celtronic Studios in the Creggan neighbourhood and Gulmohar Park in New Delhi.

Among the acts lined up to perform are Derry’s Autumns – a solo act renowned for his intense, punk approach; DIY audio-visual artist, The Fully Automatic Model, who is predominantly known for composing electronica, cinematic and ambient music; and Cartin – one of Derry’s most exciting new producers, whose debut was well received with Radio 1 airplay.

DJ sets will come from Underlying Form’s Darren Allen, BBC Radio Ulster’s Stephen McCauley, Derry’s leading purveyors of disco influenced weapons of mass dancefloor destruction, Queen & Disco and two of Derry’s finest young selectors Andrew Devine and Jordan Villa.

Ahead of the weekender, Gareth Stewart, co-founder of Celtronic said: “This is a very exciting project for everyone at Celtronic and all of the artists.

“We had researched various festivals and electronic music promoters across India and felt that Boxout.fm were the best potential partner for this project. The scale of the organisations is similar, and we have a shared ethos with a hunger to develop local talent via innovative events and initiatives. We see opportunities to share skills and learning and hope to develop more projects together in the future.”
