Harry Potter fans will be flocking to Foyleside from Saturday 23rd July until Sunday 31st July as the centre transforms into a magical world of wizardry to mark the release of the hotly-anticipated new Harry Potter book – Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Based on the new West End play, this latest literary addition to the iconic Harry Potter series comes nine years after J.K. Rowling’s last foray into the world of Hogwarts, Hagrid and Harry – and Foyleside will be paying homage with eight days of ‘Pottermania’ leading up to the grand release at midnight on 31 July.
To mark the occasion, dress up as your favourite character from the series before you visit Foyleside and if your robes are in the wash, head to the Wizarding Wardrobe to get kitted out in-centre. Wizzy the Wizard will be setting up shop throughout the week so be sure to get a few pictures with Derry’s most famous wizard.
Kids can take part in a free Harry Potter themed treasure hunt as well as visiting the craft workshop where they can be sorted into their very own Hogwarts house. With face-painting on offer everyone who visits will be transformed into their favourite Harry Potter face – be it Harry, Hermione or even Hedwig.
But that’s not all, as one lucky family of four will be winning a £1,000 prize to spend on a trip of a lifetime to visit Harry Potter Land at the Warner Bros Studio in London!
